Bryan Abma, MA, LLPC
As a counselor, I aim to provide a warm, accepting atmosphere in order for every client to feel welcome to share their story. I believe that counseling is a collaboration between the client and counselor, and that a strong therapeutic relationship is key to counseling success. I utilize various theories and methods in my counseling, and have adopted an integrated, or eclectic, approach in order to best meet everyone's individual needs.
I am a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) with experience working with young adults, adults, and couples. I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Michigan University. I have in-depth experience working with college students and young adults on personal, academic, and career-related stressors, including anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, grief, and burnout. I also help couples work through some of the day-to-day issues that can stress relationships.
Wherever you are along your therapeutic journey, I am there to support you. You and I will work together to understand the implications of your personal experiences, concerns, and stories. If you feel ready to begin this journey with me, I invite you to reach out to schedule a free consultation. Feel free to call me at 734-494-2180, or send me an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
